Statement Condemning Anti-Semitic Graffiti in Cork

This anti-Semitic graffiti in a park was brought to my attention by locals in Cork last evening. It's genuinely disheartening to see a public space such as Ballybrack Woods treated this way. This is an area used daily by families, walkers and people of all ages. It's somewhere people go for a bit of peace and instead they're now met with defacing graffiti. It's an eyesore, plain and simple, and it drags down what should be a shared community space.

Public amenities should be respected and looked after, not turned into canvases for vandalism of any kind.

Fair play to Douglas Tidy Towns, who gave up part of their Friday to clean up the mess left behind by this kind of hateful anti-social behaviour.
